Agenda This Training session will discuss each rule applicable to groundwater systems. We will take an in depth look at the health effects for the contaminant/ regulation, how it can get into your water system and what you can do to prevent that from happening. The sampling protocol for each contaminant can differ. We will discuss where and how to accurately sample in your water system for each contaminant you are required to sample for.

Recordkeeping is usually a weak point in water system operations. We will discuss the relevance of water system records and how long they must be kept. We will also discuss optional recordkeeping such as maintenance and customer complaint documentation. This course is a great refresher on groundwater regulations and will build a better understanding of the contaminants and why we are sampling for them.

Pierce Rigrod will discuss Env-Wq 401 BMP Inspections. A number of community water systems have chemical monitoring waivers through NH DES and many must inventory and inspect potential contamination sources (PCSs). This training will review how to identify those PCSs to inspect and properly conduct Env-Wq 401 BMP inspections, discuss inspection case studies and review the compliance and enforcement process.
